Pequeña

Two weekends ago, Emily, her roommate Mandy, Mandy's friend Jessica, and I visited Guadalest. Guadalest is a small town northeast of Alicante. We took the tram up the coast to Benidorm, from which we thought we would be able to take a bus to Guadalest. The information we had read was from 2008, and apparently there are no buses at this time of year. We ended up taking a cab, which split between the four of us, was not very expensive. The road to Guadalest was incredibly curvy-- like driving in the mountains of Arizona x100. Emily was unlucky enough to be sitting in the passenger seat; when we finally made it to the town, her face was completely white (we now know that she is susceptible to motion sickness)!

Guadalest boasts less than 200 residents and is totally reliant on tourism. It has a really nice castle and a hand full of quaint shops.


It is one of the most frequently visited villages in Spain. The views are amazing!!
